A portfolio needs more than a list of tools. Describe who gets stuck, when it happens and what they are trying to do. An internship application board gives you a more specific group to learn from than a productivity app for everyone.
Build one useful flow
You do not need accounts, payments and a community on day one. Start with adding an application and seeing its next action. A sketch or spreadsheet can help you test the idea before writing application code.
Observe use, not just opinions
Ask a potential user about the last time they faced the problem. Then let them try one task with your prototype. Record where they hesitate or stop. A compliment is not the same as evidence that the tool works for them.
Show the decisions behind your work
Keep a short record of the problem, your first assumption, what you built, what you observed and what you changed. Label untested assumptions clearly. Explain where AI helped and which decisions and revisions you made yourself.
